Board Meeting

The next general meeting of the Friends will be on Thursday, September 14th at 7:00 PM at the Library. All members of the Friends are invited to attend.

2006 Summer Reading

Santa Clara County Library Summer Reading Program was launched June 3rd for everyone; children, teens, and adults.

Most adults work hard and have to schedule time for reading. Share with the community a book you have read one summer that had an impact on your life. Fill out the Reading Recommendation form and it will be posted in the library and on the Friends website.

FOML will be awarding $5 coupons as prizes to adults who read a book and submit their reading recommendation to the library. The coupon can be used for the upcoming September book sale. For more information, please check with the adult librarian.

Friends' Tattler: Summer 2006

January and June Book Sales

The January and June Book Sales netted over $12,000 for the Milpitas Community Library. This money is made available entirely through the efforts of volunteers. We are very grateful to all our volunteers for their time during the book sales and would like to thank them very much. It is because of their commitment that we can provide additional programs for the library. The Friends would also like to thank Save Mart, Kelly Moore Paints and Milpitas High School for supporting our book sale.

If you wish to join our group of volunteers, call the library at 262-1171 and leave your name and phone number so a member of FOML can contact you. You may also sign up to volunteer at a specific book sale by contacting the Adult Reference Desk and placing your name on the list to help.
